Package: boot-icons
Version: 0.2
Severity: normal
On my radeonfb, the icons are displayed incorrectly. The colors are
mixed up. I've read that radeonfb doesn't use the "default" 16 bit
palette, but has the 16 vga colors at the beginning.
(atyfb probably is affected as well)
I have the same effects with bootsplash and fbmngplay.
"mplayer -vo fbdev" does work fine, but oviously does change the color
palette (which isn't an option for boot-icons)
At http://people.debian.org/~erich/boot/bootsplash/
there are packages of bootsplash and fbmngplay. You could run an mng
animation while certain parts of the boot process are running. ;-)
You only need to start them in one script and kill them in the next.
Greetings,
Erich
