Package: boot-icons
Version: 0.2
Severity: normal

I don't know if this is a problem with boot-icons or with the kernel I
am using but maybe you can help me identify the source of the problem.

I am using version 0.2 of boot-icons with the Debian kernel images
(kernel-image-2.4.22-1-686). I pass the option vga=791 to the kernel at
boot time with grub.

Now, instead of having the boot icons at the top of the screen, above
the boot messages (kernel messages and initscript output), the text
scrolls up to cover up the boot icons.

I suspect that the kernel needs to know to leave some space for the
graphics, but how do we specify that ? If it is not a problem with
boot-icons, it could probably be explained in boot-icons' README.Debian

What do you think ?

Francois
