Package: mariadb-server

Version: 10.1.23-9+deb9u1

While installing it, doesnt show the screen where it asks for the
mariadb root password.
This is the first signal. Finally when the package is installed, it
shows that there is
no valid configuration because its giving access and privileges
issues, allowing to open
the bd with any password, "cnf" files inside /etc/mysql/ arent showing
any configuration
values like it did with past versions or the latest from mariadb repo
(instead of the
official debían stretch repos). This behavior is showing that there is
something in the
debían package causing it to not trigger some script to configure
properly the service.

As a suggested solution, cannot provide anything more than the version
I have tested and
worked well for me. Which is the one hosted on the mariadb repo,
reachable here Link
<https://downloads.mariadb.org/mariadb/repositories/#mirror=tedeco&distro=Debian&distro_release=stretch--stretch&version=10.2>.

The version of the used system is Linux debian 4.9.0-3-amd64 #1 SMP
Debian 4.9.30-2+deb9u3
(2017-08-06) x86_64 GNU/Linux and libc6 2.24-11+deb9u1. The system is
a fresh install, just
added sudo, openssh-server and changed the ip to be static, then
install mariadb-server.
