Package: rxvt
Version: 1:2.6.4-1
Severity: wishlist

Hi,

The "scrollTtyOutput: False" resource setting in rxvt doesn't work like I
expected. When new lines of data are appended to the bottom while I'm
backscrolled, the current scroll location that I'm viewing also scrolls up
by the same amount.

It would be much more useful to me if adding more data at the bottom did not
adjust my viewing location at all - after all, I'm scrolled back because I'm
looking for something in particular, not because I want to see "exactly what
happened 25 lines ago at all times."

I'm pretty sure the current behaviour must be an accident, not on purpose,
since I can't see much use for it the way it is.

Thanks!

Avery

Thank you for your bug report. As rxvt has been replaced by rxvt-unicode in
Debian, I am closing this bug. If you can still reproduce this bug with urxvt,
please feel free to reopen this bug and reassign it to the rxvt-unicode package.

Best wishes,
