The firestarter X gui works initially but after logging some number of
hits starts outputting a message about an invalid pointer on the
controlling terminal. Eventually hits cease being logged in the
firestarter window (nothing shown when the tray icon has the lightning
flash) and the visibility of the gui doesn't get toggled when
double-clicking on the tray icon. At this point the terminal contains
an endless stream of invalid pointer messages, and I kill the
firestarter gui.
