Package: mozilla-firefox
Version: 1.0.7-1
Severity: normal

Firefox and also Mozilla crash on some documents with this error:
/usr/lib/mozilla-firefox/firefox-bin: symbol lookup error:
/usr/lib/libXft.so.2: undefined symbol: FT_GlyphSlot_Embolden

It happens e.g. on this web site:

http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/web/library/wa-ajaxintro3/?ca=dgr-lnxw01MasterAJAX3

It happens 100% of the time here.

On another PC I had the same crash when I clicked on my Junk folder.
This happens since yesterday, when the mozilla packages (including
libnspr4) got upgraded. So, this may be a bug in libnspr4 or some other
package common between Mozilla (The Suite) and Firefox.

Hi,

Yes, this solved it. I seem to have forgotten to close the bug, or to
move it to the libxft2 package and merge it with the existing bug
reports about this issue there.
