Package: gnucash
Version: 1.8.8-4
Severity: minor
To use any other printer than 'lpr', the user needs to change the print
field each time. It looks like this is hardcoded into gnucash. Ideally,
of course, gnucash would integrate into the Gnome or KDE printing system,
but at the very least it should be able to remember another printer
setting across sessions (or even within a session!)

Hi Adam,
The bug you reported cannot be reproduced in 1.8 and the print system in
gnucash 1.9 has been completely re-written. The fix actually occurs in
the external user environment where the print system is configured to
use a particular printer as default, gnucash now simply reads that
information. So although gnucash doesn't allow the user to set default
printer permanently, it does not override the existing default printer
either.
Closing this bug report.
If you have any remaining problems with gnucash and printing (or
anything else of course), please feel free to submit another bugreport
using the reportbug tool.
Thank you for your cooperation!
