Package: telepathy-gabble
Version: 0.9.12-1
Severity: grave
Tags: squeeze
Justification: renders package unusable
I don't remember when this problem started, but telepathy-gabble silently
disconnects every so often, and it is quite often. Randomly disconnecting is
serious enough, but the fact that it does so silently, without any notice, just
makes it impossible to use. I have to constantly check that I'm still
connected, and I have to constantly kill telepathy-gabble and restart it to
keep my conversations going. Not fun at all.
I'm only using telepathy-gabble to connect to the GTalk network, I don't know
if it fails with other networks.
I have no idea how to extract debugging information for this package. I'll
gladly do so if I'm pointed in the right direction --- I really do want to keep
using empathy!
