--- Begin Message ---Package: urlview Version: 0.9-16 Severity: normal In quoted-printable messages, long lines are broken by terminating each line at 80 characters with an equal sign ("="). urlview doesn't recognize this escape, and so it breaks the URL at that point. Other characters that are escaped in quoted-printable messages (such as equal signs) will also cause URLs to be mangled beyond usability. As an example, I'll submit this message as quoted-printable and include a long URL: http://www.haskell.org/ghc/docs/6.4/html/libraries/OpenGL/Graphics.Rendering.OpenGL.GL.Texturing.Environments.html and a URL containing an equal sign: http://happypenguin.org/news?start=35 You can find the quoted-printable RFC online; it should have fairly detailed instructions on how to parse these messages. --- Begin Message ---Control: reassign -1 mutt 1.5.9-2sarge2 Control: tags -1 + upstream fixed-upstream Version: 1.5.15+20070608-1 This was fixed in mutt in commit dabfc0162b9bd4da831f2a57d7aa2380087f8556 ("Temporarily set pipe_decode in the \cb urlview macro. (Debian #423640.)"). That bug mentions three other urlview bugs, but not this one. It is, however, another instance of mutt's ^B binding not setting pipe_decode; reassigning/retagging/closing as appropriate. urlview, naturally, doesn't care about the encoding, it reads plain files.
