Package: distributed-net
Version: 2.8012.2-1
Severity: wishlist
There is a problem building distributed-net for the Debian NetBSD port
-- the NetBSD client seems to call itself as dnetc, and doesn't work if
it's renamed to distributed-net (which is what the current package
does).
It's possible to use a symlink, or 'exec dnetc "$@"' in place of
/usr/bin/distributed-net, but then stopping with the init script breaks
because start-stop-daemon doesn't see the running processes (since
they're called dnetc instead of distributed-net).
I see several potential solutions -- changing the init script,
dispensing with renaming the binary, or we trying to get it fixed
upstream. I'll let the maintainer decide which is most appropriate.
