Sometimes the sendmail wrapper breaks the pipe (quits ?) without a significant
reason. This especially happens in conjunction with other programs like
fetchmail.
E.g., fetchmail (config: mta "/usr/sbin/sendmail -i -f %F %T") reports
"SIGPIPE thrown from an MDA or a stram socket error" sometimes.
After fetching the messages manually, it works again.
I dunno why this happens, but it happens sometimes. I will investigate this
subject further. For now, I'm sorry I can't give you more information.
