Package: sylpheed
Version: 2.4.5-1
Severity: wishlist
SSL certificate verify failed because of "self signed certificate".
This warning is issued each time sylpheed is started.
Sylpheed did not do this before.
It would be less annoying if a warning was only issued for degraded
security and once accepted the warning would not be issued again.
A self signed certificate can still provide improved security over
clear. Security will also rely on DNS and routing.
A warning should also be issued when accepting a new certificate before
current one has expired. (This relates to bug #355192.)
In this context certificate changes can be regarded as degraded
security.
