Package: sylpheed
Version: 3.1.0~beta3-1
Severity: wishlist
Sylpheed must be the only e-mail client I tried that, during a new-mail check,
rebuilds *completely* both the mailbox tree and the summary list disrupting
your current work.
If you were doing some kind of operation during a refresh, the operation is
aborted in weird ways. Hitting 'delete', clicking or moving a message during a
refresh is often aborted with "Cannot find the selected message", or resulting
in a message which is marked for deletion, but not moved to the trash.
Sometimes the scrollbar position of the summary list is also reset, requiring
you to scroll again.
Moreover, the refresh in itself is _very_ slow, taking ~3 seconds of CPU time
for ~2500 messages only (on a 2.3ghz CPU!). If you set sylpheed to check all
accounts every minute, it quickly becomes tiring.
