Package: eterm
Version: 0.9.2-8.1
Severity: important

im quite an avid fan of eterm, using it on both ia32 and ppc systems
however on my brand spanking new amd64 - running the amd64 port
the eterm seems to accumulate garbage characters. clear gets rid
of them when the terminal clears. but as one uses eterm (reading
a man page or similar) as more and more characters appear and
move or go away, artifacts etc remain.

doesnt happen with xterm or on other non-amd64 systems i have access
too.

would seem like something isnt quite clearing the screen.

oh, this happens with quasi-transparency and also image eterm
backgrounds.

cheers. keep up the good word debian team.

thanks, control

The problem was a bug libast and was resolved with libast 0.7 and
Eterm 0.9.3 packages.
