When running Eterm on my Alpha workstation, I see a series of display
artifacts when running some commands such as 'ls'. These artifacts are
not present if I remotely display an Eterm running on an x86 workstation,
therefore this appears to be a 64-bit bug in Eterm itself.

A possibly related error is that when running on alpha, background images
are neither tiled nor scaled -- even though choosing the appropriate
option from the Background menu gives the correct behavior. Many of the
default backgrounds look quite silly as squares in the upper left corner.

The problem was a bug libast and was resolved with libast 0.7 and
Eterm 0.9.3 packages.
