i wrote a mail in mutt, using nvi as standard editor.
my connection to the machine broke, and nvi sent me a mail.
| when it was saved for recovery. You can recover most, if not
| all, of the changes to this file using the -r option to
| editor:

ok, that´s fine. but when i try to recover the file, i get a segmentation
fault. with strings i see, it´s indeed part ob my text mail.
nvi´s recover funktion worked fine for me long time. and this actual
version is normaly able to recover files.
but as we can see, there may be some circumstances that makes nvi crash
during the recovery process.

Hi,
as this bug report is now more than seven years old, I'm closing
it. If there are still circumstances where vi's recovery feature
reproducibly segfaults, please reopen the report and provide me
with details how I can reproduce it myself.
