Package: xchat
Version: 2.0.10-0.3
Severity: wishlist

There are several messages that just clutter the display and it would
be nice if there was a general way to filter any words that appers in
channel. Like if there were configuration option:

  filter messages by regexp: has.*(joined|left)
                             ===================

The underlined part is user configurable. If regexp are not supported,
even list of words separated by commas would do.

Hi Jari,

In xchat 2.6.8-0.1 you can remove the "join" and "part" messages in
settings, advanced, text events, join and part. I guess that this
solves what you want. If not, feel free to reopen this bug.

Regards,

Bart Martens
