Package: courier-mta
Version: 0.47-3
Severity: normal

/usr/sbin/sendmail only works with the root or daemon users.
This breaks many aplications.

Seting suid solved the problem but is it this best way?

example:
# su www-data
$ echo to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] |  /usr/sbin/sendmail -oi -t
sendmail: ERR: submitclient: EOF from submit.
432 Service temporarily unavailable.
$

# su daemon
$ echo to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] |  /usr/sbin/sendmail -oi -t
$
