Package: dovecot
Version: 0.99.13-3
Severity: important
One user here got no mail visible in MUA.
Even querying with "telnet server 110" and using user, pass, stats showed up
no mail avaible.
dovecot was configured quite standard (mostly default).
I found, that all other users got the mail correctly via pop3 or imap.
Only one user not.
I found a workaround, setting:
default_mail_env = mbox:/var/mail/%u
especially.
Without setting default_mail_env all other users got everything right.
With the setting it worked fine including the problem user.
Of course were all trouble shooting hints from wiki.dovecot.org
checked before filing this bug.
I tried to build dovecot from source package using --enable-debug and run it
in gdb. I did not found the Bug to patch it. :-<<
It would be easier, if there would be more logging options... but that's an
other report. --
