That would work perfectly for me. Although you would also need to
appropriately handle the case where LOGREMOTEDIR was not set (so as not
to write to /$HOSTNAME instead of $HOSTNAME). If I was proficient in
bash scripting, I would code it myself. In any case, this is exactly
what I had in mind. :-)
