So, tried both. This is interesting: Below attached is a file with libvdpau1-0.4.1-5 created by vdpauinfo. I tried the same with version 0.4.1-2 and got this error: vdpauinfo > libvdpau1-0.4.1-2.txt Failed to open VDPAU backend libvdpau_nvidia.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory Error creating VDPAU device: 1 However, if it cannot be fixed at the moment, due to too many involved closed- source files, I can workaround it for me, to install version 0.4.1-2 and set it to hold.
