When I try to run xpdf, it dies with this error:
$ xpdf global-illumination-egwr96.pdf
xpdf: error while loading shared libraries: libXft.so.1: cannot open shared
object file: No such file or directory
Then I see:
$ ldd /usr/bin/xpdf.bin
...
libgcc_s.so.1 => /lib/libgcc_s.so.1 (0xb7a5c000)

libXft.so.1 => not found

Is there a missing dependency somewhere...?
