Thanks for reporting this! This regression has already been fixed in
upstream commit 5579a6ff047c0d1b319b5452a8443000921d7da1.

I've raised the severity to important -- imho this should really be
fixed for Wheezy.

I've tested that on the README file of git.git … the good news is that
it does work, even though it takes a couple of seconds and the window
really get … well, big ;-)

I'm about to upload a fixed version and ask for a freeze exception.
