  This means it impossible to fix it in gphoto "only with an udev rule".
  As discussed on irc with Marco some minutes ago, it is still possible
  to address with a hotplut.d script plus and udev rule.

  Which is not the best thing for our users, of course. Frederic, Marco
  has stated several times (on e.g. -devel) that he's willing to help
  maintainers to make their transitions. For the benefit of our users, 
  would you be willing to take on his offer and fix libgphoto2 to work
  with udev >= 0.70-3 and a kernel << 2.6.14?

  If not, would you accept patches?
