Surf doesn't validate the SSL certificates till 0.4.1 release this
should be documented in a prominent place so that users will be
notified about it.

Starting with 0.5 release surf validates the SSL certificate and when
servers certificate fails validation turns the progress bar to
Red. When packaging new consider adding this to a place so that user
will be notified of this while upgrading.
