Package: enscript
Version: 1.6.5.90-2
Severity: normal

Hello,

fc-list shows many fonts that coud be used with enscript to print
characters outside of the 7bit ascii or latin1 range but enscript does
not know about them.

To generate a font map once the installed font files have been symlinked
into the enscript font directory one can run something like

fc-list |grep pfb | sed -e s/:style=/-/ -e 's/: /\t/' -e 's,.*/,,' | tr
' ' '-' | awk '{ print $2 "\t" $1}' | sed -e 's/\.pfb$//'

I am not sure what the exact format of the map file is. It is not
detailed in the man page but this script produces an usable font map.
There is no way to know what fonts enscript supports other than veiwing
the map file.

Thanks

Michal
