I have a server with 4 nic card, I installed Debian wheezy/sid on it.
After installation all I did was "apt-get update" followed by "apt-get
upgrade" followed by "reboot" only to find that the eth0 has become eth5.
On subsequent reboots the ethX does not get bumped up by one. This has
occurred just three time in about 100 server which I have. Then I have to
manually edit the /etc/udev/rules.d/70-persistent-net.rules and then reboot
the machine to get the eth5 back to eth0.
# lsb_release -a
No LSB modules are available.

Please let me know why does this happen ? I am not able to consistently
repeat this error either.
I am using Debian GNU/Linux testing (wheezy), kernel 3.2.0-3-amd64 #1 SMP
