libsnack2-alsa already provides libsnack2, so I don't see the point in providing another virtual package. Anyway, virtual package wouldn't allow to have versioned dependency on it, so I guess the reasonable ways to depend on snack are currently 1) libsnack2 2) libsnack2 (>= 2.2) | libsnack2-alsa (>= 2.2) The first way doesn't allow version, but it's hardly a restriction now as 2.2 came out almost a decade ago.
