Package: youtube-dl
Version: 2012.09.27+dfsg1-1
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

/usr/bin/youtube-dl is currently a zip file with "#!/usr/bin/env python"
prepended to it. While this is executable by python, it does not follow the
Python Packaging Policy (specifically §3.1.1):

  http://www.debian.org/doc/packaging-manuals/python-policy/ch-programs.html

It also has the side-effect of confusing file-type guessers like file(1):

$ file /usr/bin/youtube-dl
/usr/bin/youtube-dl: data

cheers
Stuart
