It's getting deleted automatically because I'm using tmpfs for /var/log on a laptop so every reboot, /var/log gets cleaned out.. Not sure if that's a supported setup or not, but a lot of people have recommended using tmpfs for /var/log in PCs that have *only* SSDs for storage as continual writes to /var/log puts extra wear and tear on SSDs. -David -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
