So it is clear that we have some regression in the kernel. growisofs and/or libburn would be at most to blame for not knowing the newest tricks to get the same performance as on the old kernels. Do you have an idea how to switch this Debian bug report from dvd+rw-tools to kernel ? Will you report to LKML ? I am ready to support such reports by explanations about growisofs and/or libburn.
