Hi, again, found the real commit to blame (and the author, me :-(), http://bzr.savannah.gnu.org/lh/emacs/trunk/revision/110817 I was previously messing up with branches and was not actually comparing the same things, becoming confused. I wrote that commit, still need to remember the details and do some manual debugging, but I hope to address things this week.
