I'm still busy with that, and in the meanwhile I'm a little bit glad
about the NMU because it gives me more time to fix servers and I can
postpone the next upload a little bit more.

That effort is definitely appreciated. I'll try to merge the NMU into
the git repository on collab-maint (there are test-suite improvements
already committed into git for the -5 upload) and hence acknowledge
the NMU.
