Package: appstream-index
Version: 0.6-1
Severity: important
Dear Maintainer,
As per the blog post
http://blog.tenstral.net/2014/04/appstream-0-6-1-released-a-quick-look-at-what-you-can-do-with-the-cli-tool.html
appstream-index should be also be able to tell if a file (for e.g. a
desktop file) . I tried to do the same and it didn't work in real
life.
$ appstream-index --get qBittorrent.desktop
Unknown option --get
Run 'appstream-index --help' to see a full list of available command
line options.
(appstream-index:15941): GLib-CRITICAL **: g_main_loop_unref:
assertion 'loop != NULL' failed
I tried the same with apt-file search and that answers the query in
few seconds.
$ apt-file search qBittorrent.desktop
app-install-data: /usr/share/app-install/desktop/qBittorrent.desktop
Looking forward to know more.
