Package: oping Version: 1.6.2-4 Severity: wishlist Tags: upstream Hi,
it would be nice, if oping and especially noping would have a flag to ping both, IPv4 and IPv6 address of the same host at the same time as if it were two separate hosts, but without the need to give both IP addresses explicitly. There are multiple ways I could imagine how this could work: 1) New option, may -64, -46, -10 (4 + 6 :-) or -5 (between 4 and 6) 2) Give both options, e.g. "noping -4 -6 hostname" 3) The flags -4 and -6 only count for the hosts up to the other flag, e.g. "noping -4 hostname -6 hostname otherhost -4 otherhost" -- System Information: Debian Release: jessie/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (990, 'unstable'), (600, 'testing'), (400, 'stable'), (110, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 3.12-trunk-amd64 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages oping depends on: ii libc6 2.18-7 ii libncursesw5 5.9+20140118-1 ii liboping0 1.6.2-4 ii libtinfo5 5.9+20140118-1 oping recommends no packages. oping suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
