NM can talk to tools like resolvconf or dnsmasq and let them manage /etc/resolv.conf. NM then only pushes the DNS information to them and doesn't touch /etc/resolv.conf itself. With resolvconf or dnsmasq you should be able to configure what you want. -- Why is it that all of the instruments seeking intelligent life in the universe are pointed away from Earth?
