Package: extract Version: 1:1.3-2+b1 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer,
currently 'extract' does not give any meta data when running on PDF input. I tried several (~40) PDFs, which all should have meta data in them, as they are shown in evince and with 'pdfino -meta', but no data got printed when using extract, e.g: $ wget -q http://www.copyright.gov/legislation/dmca.pdf $ LANG=C extract dmca.pdf Keywords for file dmca.pdf: mimetype - application/pdf $ pdfinfo -meta dmca.pdf Title: The Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998 Subject: Copyright Office Summary of the DMCA (…) (I also tried JPG and PNG files, which show meta data with extract) -- System Information: Debian Release: 8.0 APT prefers testing-updates APT policy: (500, 'testing-updates'), (500, 'stable-updates'), (500, 'proposed-updates'), (500, 'oldstable-updates'), (500, 'oldstable-proposed-updates'), (500, 'testing'), (500, 'stable'), (500, 'oldstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 3.16.0-4-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=de_DE.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=de_DE.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages extract depends on: ii libc6 2.19-15 ii libextractor3 1:1.3-2+b1 extract recommends no packages. extract suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
