Josh, I remind you again: such bugs should be opened against upstream qemu. I especially asked Paolo to take a look at this bugreport, but generally these bugs, especially when the problem is that deep, should be filed against upstream qmeu bugtracker. There's no reason to close a bugreport if it can't be fixed, for that there's "wontfix" "resolution", or it can remain open, whatever. I'm re-titling and re-tagging it in debian. It'd be much better if it were in launchpad BT and Debian can link to that bug, though.
