Hi, I am experiencing what seems to be the same bug in a different way. Packagekit does not seem to work with a wireless connection managed by wicd.
I use packagekit via pk-update-icon, and my network is managed by wicd. As long as I have a wired connection, I can use packagekit to update without a problem, but when I am connected to a wireless network instead, gpk-update-viewer quits with "No updates are available. No network connection was detected." It does not matter whether my devices are in /etc/network/interfaces or not. I do not want to switch to network-manager or a wired connection because of this. Until this is fixed, is there a sensible workaround still using wicd? Regards, Lester -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble?
