Package: pbuilder Version: 0.215+nmu3 Severity: important Hi,
with the recent update to dpkg-dev 1.18.0 in unstable, pbuilder fails to build packages for me. This is apparently because dpkg-buildpackage -S fails now if build-dependencies are not satisfied. One point of using pbuilder is to be able to not pollute the host system with a lot of build-dependencies for various packages, since they'll only be installed in a chroot. I don't know if the behavior should actually be reverted in dpkg-buildpackage or something changed in pbuilder, but if the assumption doesn't stand anymore, it really needs to be advertised more.
