Hi Jack, where do you see that musescore 2.0.2 depends on soundfont? It
does not. However, this info is a bit confusing in
https://packages.debian.org/sid/musescore. There you'll see that it's
listed as "[alpha, kfreebsd-amd64, kfreebsd-i386, m68k, powerpcspe,
sh4]", that means: only in archs where we still have musescore 1.x., and
not 2.x.

Ahh yes, I see. That makes some sense... that confused me. I think the debian packaging system confuses me, to see parts of 1.x on a page about 2.x; and how all packages from a single source must have their dependencies met, i.e. musescore2 can't go out on amd or i386 because musescore-soundfont-gm depends on timgm6mb-soundfont even though musescore2 does not depend on it...

By the way, timgm6mb-soundfont has been accepted and I've fixed in 2.0.2
the only serious bug which could block the package from going to testing.

So, in a few days we'll have musescore 2.0.2 in testing, hopefully.

I'll be closing this bug. It seems we agreed to not change the soundfont
package names for now, and the current discussion is valid, but not
really related to it.

Bests and thanks for your time on this,

A pleasure, looking forward to it going out, should see an update tomorrow in the package tracker for TimGM6mb :).
