It looks as though there are no rdeps, so a transition is only needed
if the maintainer considers it necessary:
smcv@coccia:~$ dak rm -R -n cvc3
Will remove the following packages from unstable:

kfreebsd-amd64, kfreebsd-i386, mips, mipsel, powerpc, ppc64el, s390x
cvc3-el | 2.4.1-5 | all
libcvc3-5 | 2.4.1-5 | amd64, arm64, armel, armhf, hurd-i386, i386,
kfreebsd-amd64, kfreebsd-i386, mips, mipsel, powerpc, ppc64el, s390x
libcvc3-5-java | 2.4.1-5 | all
libcvc3-5-jni | 2.4.1-5 | amd64, arm64, armel, armhf, hurd-i386, i386,
kfreebsd-amd64, kfreebsd-i386, mips, mipsel, powerpc, ppc64el, s390x
libcvc3-dev | 2.4.1-5 | amd64, arm64, armel, armhf, hurd-i386, i386,
