There's no version check at the moment. I might add it later. (IMHO
changing license to a more restrictive one is an ABI breakage that
should warrant SONAME change. I'm somewhat tempted to file an RC bug
against Ghostscript.)

As far as I understand it, it is forbidden for any GPLv2only to link
against AGPL libgs9,
This is my understanding, too.
Are you aware of any such license conflicts in the archive?
