I installed amavis to delete viruses. After a year, I noticed /var/lib/amavis/virusmails was where all my system's disk space had gone.
After grepping through all the documentation, I have yet to find anything that documents this package behaves this way. Is the admin supposed to learn about this when their server breaks? Not sure why I'm even bothering to follow up since this bug has been open for 5 years(!), but I wanted to point out that this is also a documentation issue, and that this package, as it currently exists, is a landmine for the unwary admin. -- see shy jo
