The script is still found in the current package, thus re-opening the bug report: $ apt-file list arping ... arping: /etc/network/if-up.d/arping When dropping the script, please also make sure to remove the obsolete conffile (see dpkg-maintscripts-helper, dh_installdeb's maintscript) -- Why is it that all of the instruments seeking intelligent life in the universe are pointed away from Earth?
