The justification for grave would be that the whole package was unusable without a way to work around it or it was affected by a security vulnerability. This is not the case here. This is an annoying bug, agreed, but there is a simple workaround and most films could be viewed or downloaded. I can't even fix the bug in MediathekView itself because the URLs are part of the film list which is downloaded at startup. The parameters are correct but the input was wrong. In stable we still use libav, so you have to replace ffmpeg with avconv and install the libav-tools package. However the project migrates to ffmpeg in Stretch again.
