smb.conf is actually in samba-common, so that is the missing dependency.
Upgrading to serious since this makes winbindd non-startable and hence
unusable. (actually, the default created smb.conf does work either as the
winbind options are commented out - not sure how that can be fixed)

There is also a second bug which makes winbind fail even if samba-common
ís installed: neither winbind nor samba-common create a required
/var/run/samba directory.
