Package: ftp.debian.org
Severity: wishlist

[Not sure if I should file this on ftp.debian.org or www.debian.org;
filing it on ftp.debian.org on the assumption that the archive generates
the page.]

In trying to find the status of a delayed upload, I searched for
"delayed queue" on debian.org. That search led me to
https://people.debian.org/~djpig/delayed.html ; unfortunately, that
hasn't updated since 2008. The page I eventually found was
https://ftp-master.debian.org/deferred.html , but that has no mention of
"DELAYED" or "queue" at all; I only found it because, far down the list
of results for "DELAYED queue", I found
https://www.debian.org/doc/manuals/developers-reference/pkgs.html#delayed-incoming
(anchor added to reference the relevant portion), which links to
https://ftp-master.debian.org/deferred.html .

Given that the queue itself uses the name "DELAYED", as does the dput
option, it seems odd that both the URL and title of
https://ftp-master.debian.org/deferred.html use "deferred" instead.
Please consider prominently mentioning "DELAYED queue" on that page, in
the hopes that it'll become easier to find in search engines.

Thanks,
Josh Triplett
