The problem is that, to my knowledge, swig does not support
php7 (yet).
In OWFS, php is just here to provide a binding (with the help
of swig) to a library. If php5 support stops in Debian and swig
does not get support php7, we will have to remove php support in
OWFS (as this is already done in Ubuntu)
I wont do this for now, as this would be a regression for OWFS,
hopping that swig improves and support php7.

Note that I'm not a specialist of php nor swig. Do not hesitate
to point me to new development, workarounds, ... or to correct my
points if required.

I'm CCing [email protected] in case some
have ideas about the swig issue (owfs wont be the only one I
suspect) [I did not subscribe].

  Regards,
    Vincent
