Hi Vincent, there's currently open issue for PHP 7.0 support: https://github.com/swig/swig/issues/571 you might want to subscribe to it.
This bug will become serious as php5 will get removed and the packages will start to FTBFS, so I am afraid it might come to removing the php support for a moment. It might be reinstated later when swig adds support for PHP 7.
